The combiner box provides a way to combine the multiple source circuits of a photovoltaic array into a single DC output. Each power circuit is individually blown by a touch-safe fuse holder. The combiner box allows the system to operate in a fail-safe manner in the unlikely event that the source circuit draws abnormally high currents. Additionally, combiner boxes provide a convenient way to access the DC portion of the PV system for routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Widely used in houses, solar farms, solar pumping systems.
